Using New Stuff!!!

I fell in love with the Fancy Pants Tree!!!! I really could buy a ton more!!!! Here is what I came up with!!!

Switching Photos!!!

One of our assignments for the Treasured Memories Design Team, was to switch photos with another fellow DT member!! This was so much fun. Really!!!!! I picked Mandi. I did a one pager, cause its my favorite!!! I gave her one of my custom Owl Buttons, did some hand stitching in the title, machine sewing, inking and used one photo 3 times!!! Used some October Afternoon rub-ons on the photos. Also added some Making Memories crystal brads, a fun epoxy clip, and a Heidi Swap crystal!!! I used lots of Sassafras Lass here!!! "Future Photographer"

Ok, so we got to pick our kit this month. But when I got home, I was not feeling it!!! So I waited 2 weeks before I decided to start on it. I decided to put Jacob in this one since the papers are a little on the masculine side. We had to use 4 out of the 12 challenges Melissa gave us.

I used these:

1. Use Rub-ons on chipboard
2. Use Sewing to create a shape or other design
3. Use Paint
4. Distress

I found some metal buttons and covered them with the Craftin' papers. Then I did some distressing by pulling back some of the cardstock and then painting the edges to show the other paper. For the birds eyes, I sewed French knots. I also used a Martha Stewart punch and created a scalloped edge on one of the papers. I added some X's on the Jenny Bowlin papers. I also sewed through and on the American Crafts Thickers for the title!!!

Beautiful Weekend!!!!!

It was so gorgeous this weekend!!! I could have stayed outside all weekend!! I got some scrappin done. Did my October Calendar Lo, One LO from the Scralet Lime Kit and one LO from A Million Memories October KIT. Used a few things in each layout from my stash too!!! The "Tree Boy" layout is about the big tree that fell from the hurricanes at the park. The "You Inspire Me" Layout is about my sweet husband who I just adore. He is a wonderful husband and father and deserved a LO about that!!!!! Thanks for letting me share!!

A Few Things.....

OK, so Jacob's sleep over went well!!! They were so cute playing and watching movies, giggling, playing chase and having a ball!!! Poor Jacob, he was so broken hearted when we dropped Julien off at his house the next morning.

Wish Me Luck!!!

Jacob is having his very first sleep over tonight!!!! He is sooooooooo excited!!!!! I have pizza, brownies, popcorn, popcycles, icecream, and fun movies for them. They will be camping out in the living room!!!! I will be taking pictures of the night and I will post them on Monday!!!!! This is a new experience for me too!!! Thank goodness Jake will be home too!!!!!!
